1. Are Velatis available all year? Yes.
Velatis caramels are ready for your enjoyment
all year long. They are a great way to celebrate any
occasion or to make an ordinary day special. They are a
special treat, are the perfect way to tell your family
“I’m thinking of you”, and employees “Thank you.” Our
caramels also make a delicious compliment to any dinner
party, as favors for wedding guests and as unique
corporate gifts.
During holidays such as Christmas, Easter and
Valentine’s Day, we experience a high level of demand.
We recommend placing your orders well in advance for
timely delivery of your candy
2. What is the most popular flavor and
style of Velatis caramels? Velatis offers over 20 varieties of caramel candies, to satisfy all discriminating taste buds. All our
flavors are very enticing and delicious, but it seems that our most popular flavors are the Vanilla Sugary Plain and the Vanilla Chewy Plain, with and without
nuts. Our special seasonal varieties that are also
popular with our customers include pumpkin spice, egg
nog, and crème de menthe.
Future flavors and additional products will be
introduced and offered based upon our R&D efforts and
customer demands.
3. What are the different textures of
caramels? Velatis offers over 20 varieties of caramels in two
distinct textures: sugary and chewy. The sugary texture is smooth and soft, can easily be bit into, and melts in your mouth. The chewy texture can best be
savored while slowly sucking on it, or for those who can’t wait - it will provide a pleasurable aerobic work-out for your jaws and teeth.
4. What can I do if I’m not satisfied
with my order?
Your satisfaction is guaranteed. We unconditionally guarantee every item
we sell. If you are not completely satisfied with your order, mail the
item to 8408 B Georgia Avenue, Silver Spring, MD 20910. Orders will be
replaced or refunded.
5. How can I contact you?
Customer Care is our top priority. If you should have any questions
about your order, or about our products, please email us at

6. How will my caramels be shipped?
Our caramels are made fresh-to-order, and we ship within 48 hours. All
packages are sent by United States Postal Service, two-day priority mail
to ensure faster arrival and fresh caramels. Please call if next-day
service is needed.
7. How long will my caramels last?
Probably not long enough, as our customers eat them up very quickly.
We maintain a very high standard of freshness. Our caramels are made
from all natural ingredients with absolutely no preservatives.
Therefore, our caramels have a limited shelf life. Without
refrigeration, the caramels will remain fresh for approximately two
weeks. With refrigeration (see question below), the caramels will easily
last approximately two months.
8. How should I care for my caramels?
We hand-make our caramels from the finest natural ingredients and use
absolutely no preservatives. Our caramels can tolerate heat reaching 110
degrees F for up to 8 days.
To keep your caramels as fresh as the day you bought them (for up to
2 months), these steps should be taken: 1) place caramels inside a
plastic bag & seal; 2) place bag into a second plastic bag & seal; 3)
place bags in refrigerator.
For serving instructions: bring tightly-sealed plastic bags up to room
temperature for 30 minutes; remove caramels from the bags and serve.

9. How much is the shipping charge?
Shipping prices are: USA and US territories with Zip codes are $5.50 per
box, All other countries are $15.50 per box for all foreign countries.
Orders for more than 10 boxes should call (888) 483-5284 and order direct to save on large shipping
volumes.
In August we will be going to shipping via UPS. Shipping will be
calculated based on item weight and your location.
If you would like to place orders to ship to multiply addresses
please place separate orders…one for each address. Our system with UPS
will only acknowledge one address per order.
UPS will not deliver to PO Boxes please, enter an actual address.
We will contact you if we have any questions about an order.
Please, ensure you enter the address you would like the candy shipped to
otherwise it will be sent to you.
10. Where are you located?
We are in Downtown Silver Spring; on Georgia Avenue between Wayne
Avenue & Bonifant Street. Parking in the rear.
If you need further directions please use
Mapquest, since they seem to have the most accurate directions.
11. Allergy information?
All of our caramels and chocolates are manufactured in facilities
that use cashews, walnuts, pecans, almonds and dairy products. We do not
use peanuts. Therefore, the candies may contain some of these products as
part of the recipe or may contain trace amounts of them because of their
proximity of those ingredients.
If you are allergic to nuts or dairy products, you should take this
information into consideration when purchasing our products. Please feel
